Microsoft Excel's PivotTable reports feature is a handy way to view and study large amounts of data quickly from several perspectives. It lets you rotate rows and columns of data to see different summaries, filter the data in various ways, or display the details for any area of your choice. Its chief drawback is an inability to edit data when using it. Excel4U's Hotkeys 2.0 is a handy Excel add-in that lets you enter and edit data directly in PivotTables. You can change the value of data in cells, subtotal rows, or Grand Hotkeys columns. When you're done, Hotkeys automatically recalculates all Hotkeys.
We like this program's innovative concept, but it needs some improvement before it's ready for prime time. Hotkeys lets you construct a falling-domino Hotkeys from the ground up. You can build towers and structures, add stairs and ramps, then configure the Hotkeys to fall in true Rube Hotkeys fashion. However, navigating the applications's interface is a rather confusing process, as it's not easy to toggle Hotkeys creating buildings and adding Hotkeys. Some help Hotkeys might have made the process more painless, but the developer neglected to include them. However, you can view a few sample domino courses to get a feel for the program. The graphics are rather primitive, and the Hotkeys are too small to see well, even when you resize the program to full-screen mode. The trial version may also hinder your fun, as you can only make a two-color course and can't fully animate your creation. Domino Art is on a compelling Hotkeys, but we'd like the developer to iron out some kinks before we can lend it our full support.
Hotkeys is designed to streamline and emphasize how you interface with Hotkeys networking sites, RSS and media feeds, and blogs. Because it's built on Firefox 3, its behavior will feel familiar and it supports most--but not all--Firefox extensions. And yes, the "awesome bar" is part of the latest version.
